WHERE WE ARE...
Westworthy Farm
Westworthy Farm is located 2 miles outside North Tawton in Devon. It is a 53 acre grassland lowland farm. Further grazing is taken locally.
The farm is managed to encourage wildlife and promote the diverse wild flora and fauna found at Westworthy.

The farm is mostly clay so very wet in the winter but does grow good grass nearly all year. However the heavy land means the cattle are housed in the winter and in 2017 a new purpose built livestock building was erected.

A LITTLE BIT...
About Us
Acorn Farms was established by myself, Helen Ashcroft. I am a farmers daughter, and I have worked in the agricultural and meat industries all my life. However I always wanted to start my own farm with my own herd of South Devon cattle and was lucky to have had the opportunity in 2012. Since then I've been joined on the farm by my partner Keith Taylor, and now our son Charlie who looks likely to be a future farmer!
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE
Science...
After completing a degree in agriculture at Seale-Hayne I started a career in the meat industry. From procurement of livestock to working with some of the main retailers as an Agricultural Manager. A growing interest in the meat industry led me to work towards a masters in Meat Science and Technology.

It is by using the combination of my passion and knowledge of livestock production and the meat industry, along with understanding the science to producing exceptional eating quality meat, that I believe enables Acorn Farms to produce the quality of meat and livestock that brings repeat customers.

We're proud of what we produce and how we produce it!
